Richmond Park 2
Acrylic painting on board 30x30cm Presented in a black frame 34x34cm.
A view of the bend in the river, famously depicted by JWM Turner which I sought out after a friend took me to see the sun rise over Richmond Park one winter morning. It was worth it. I took a few quick studies and back in the studio produced five versions of the experience. This one reflects those fleeting moments when the sky was still quite dark in areas but the colours of the day were bursting through, glowing in the first rays of the day.
