Richmond Park 4

£450.00

Acrylic painting on board 30x30cm Presented in a black frame 34x34cm.

A view of the bend in the river, famously depicted by JWM Turner which I sought out after a friend took me to see the sun rise over Richmond Park one winter morning. It was worth it. I took a few quick studies and back in the studio produced five versions of the experience. This painting really reflects the temperature of that early morning, a frosty cool palette. A fleeting moment of day break with the warmth of day rays just peeking in from a clearer patch of blue sky to the top chasing the night away over the horizon.
